چکیده

Nowadays, one of the key challenges in transport electrification is reduction components’ size and weight. The electrical machine plays a relevant role this regard. Designing machines with higher rotational speeds excitation frequencies most effective solutions to increase power densities, but comes at cost increased losses cores windings. This challenge even more pronounced preformed windings, such as hairpins, which enable slot fill factors shorten manufacturing cycle times. In work, an improved hairpin winding concept proposed, aiming minimize high-frequency while maintaining benefits deriving from implementation windings onto machines. Analytical finite element models are first used assess proposed concept, namely segmented hairpin, proving compared conventional layouts. Experimental tests also performed on number motorettes comprising both configurations. Finally, these experimental results against those collected equipped random demonstrating competitiveness layout operations.

Three-Phase, Four-Wire UPQC Topology with Reduced Switching Losses

The paper introduces the modified UPQC topology with reduced switching losses. UPQC is a versatile custom power device which consists of two inverters connected back to back and deals with both load current and supply voltage imperfections. It can simultaneously perform as shunt and series active power filters. The series part of the UPQC acts as Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR). It is used to ma...

A New Topology for Dynamic Voltage Restorer Using High Frequency Link

In this paper a new topology for Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) with high frequency link is proposed. This topology is able to compensate different types of voltage disturbances such as voltage sag, voltage swell and voltage harmonics. According to the obtained equations, this topology operates as a controllable current source to charge the series capacitor. Due to using High Frequency Transfor...

Closure operations for digital topology

We study certain generalized topological structures, called closure operations, that are associated with -ary relations ( ¿ 1 an ordinal). It turns out that some of these structures are well-behaved with respect to connectedness and so are suitable for applications in digital topology. In particular, for any natural number n¿ 1 we ,nd an appropriate closure operation on Z, which is associated w...

Schedule-free high-frequency transit operations

High-frequency transit systems are essential for the socioeconomic and environmental well-being of large and dense cities. The planning and control of their operations are important determinants of service quality. Although headway and optimization-based control strategies generally outperform schedule-adherence strategies, high-frequency operations are mostly planned with schedules, in part be...

EELS at very high energy losses.

Electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) has been investigated in the range from 2 to >10 keV using an optimized optical coupling of the microscope to the spectrometer to improve the high loss performance in EELS. It is found that excellent quality data can now be acquired up until about 5 keV, suitable for both energy loss near edge structure (ELNES) studies of oxidation and local chemistry, a...
